Falling Off the Wagon

Motivation


Look, it happens to everyone, okay? You mean to eat well or start an exercise program or to sleep every night at the same time, but then, oops, someone brings out the birthday cake; or, oops, you skip an entire week of running; or, oops, you end up binge-watching that TV show until 1 AM.

Guess what? It’s okay. The key to falling off the wagon is simply to hop back on, without self-blame or self-castigation. Like they say in AA, “One day at a time.” We are all human. We mess up.

Change is not linear. It comes in fits and starts. You’re doing great. Keep going.
